Welcome to North Coast Cafe, a true gem nestled in the heart of Lynton, UK. Located at 5 Queen St, this charming cafe is more than just a stop for coffee; it’s a destination for any lover of scones and cozy atmospheres. With a reputation bolstered by glowing reviews, North Coast Cafe shines as a standout in the local dining scene.

The cafe boasts an impressive and creative scone menu that has captivated many visitors. As Tracy Davis enthusiastically noted, it is "fabulous" and offers the most extensive range of scone flavors one could wish for. Whether you crave a traditional treat or something more adventurous, there’s a scone here that will delight your palate.

Among the highlights, we have the ginger lemon curd scone that Monika Szewczyk raved about. Fresh, warm, and fluffy, it encapsulates the essence of homemade goodness. The lemon curd, she noted, is bursting with flavor, making each bite a delightful experience. Pair it with a Rose latte, as Monika did, for a fragrant and aromatic addition to your scone feast.

North Coast Cafe also prides itself on its warm and welcoming service. Mariia Udymovych experienced this firsthand, noting the lovely service that accompanied her delicious ginger scones with lemon curd and clotted cream. The ambience is equally appealing: a cozy decor adorned with petal flowers and a roaring fire display provides a perfect backdrop for relaxation and conversation.

Each visit can lead to a new scone discovery, just ask John Kinder, who enjoyed a unique coffee and walnut scone. His wife's trio of festive flavors—ginger, stollen, and mince pie—spoke to the cafe's creativity and pride in crafting memorable treats. The friendly owner is always ready to help you explore the extensive menu, making the experience personal and inviting.

The charm of North Coast Cafe extends beyond just food; it is a place where patrons can feel at home, even on a cold day. Alison Wakeman's experience of enjoying a Creme Brulee Latte while relaxing by the simulated fire highlights the cafe's ability to create a warm, inviting space. It’s a sanctuary for anyone seeking solace from the hustle of daily life, complete with dog-friendly policies that welcome four-legged companions.

North Coast Cafe is open daily (except Mondays and Fridays between 10 am to 3 pm) and invites everyone to discover its offerings. With every visit, you can indulge in delightful flavors and create cherished memories along the North Coast. If you find yourself in Lynton, a stop here is not just recommended; it is essential.

Fabulous, funky little cafe with the most extensive, creative scone menu I have ever seen. If you dig a cream tea then this is a destination venue for you. The scones were amazing.

Absolute gem of a cafe. So many different flavours of scone to choose from. I had the coffee and walnut with cream and honey which was wonderfully baked, with spot on flavours.y wife tried the trio of Christmas scones - ginger, stollen and mince pie. Again , fantastic flavours. Can't wait to find an excuse to return to Lynton to try a different scone. The owner was very friendly and happy to help us choose.

Absolutely superb. We liked the look of the exterior so it drew us in on a sunny yet bitterly cold day. As soon as we walked in we felt very welcome and found the ambience perfect, there was a screen displaying a roaring fire! Together with lovely music we loved it before we sat down. We only wanted hot drinks, we asked if this was okay. Yes, Absolutely! Husband had chai latte and I spotted a Creme Brulee Latte on the menu... sounded too good to resist. Wasn't disappointed, it was heavenly. We were only passing through on holiday as would love to return. Highly recommended. We had our mini schnauzer too, who was welcomed including a couple of biscuits. Thank you x

Found this little gem of a cafe following a daytrip out to see the Valley of Rocks. Myself and two friends each decided to order two different types of scones as our lunch as we couldn’t decide between the many wonderful and unique flavours! I started with the Butternut Squash, Sage and Cheddar scone with Vintage ‘Cornish Crackler’ cheddar and red onion chutney. For my ‘dessert’ I then chose the Chocolate scone with Homemade Cherry Conserve. I can honestly say these are the best scones I have ever had! The savoury butternut squash scone was absolutely delicious and full of flavour with a lovely orange hue and was still warm from the oven. The cheddar and red onion chutney complimented it beautifully. The chocolate scone smelled incredible before I’d even sliced into it! There were delicious melty chocolate chips inside and coupled with the cherry conserve it made for the most delectable sweet treat. Chocolate and cherry is one of my favourite flavour combinations so I was excited to find this. I am going to try and recreate these scones myself but I doubt I’ll come close! The owner was also very friendly and warm and we felt really lucky to have found this cafe. I would highly recommend it to everyone.

Ordered a gluten free scone with cream and strawberry jam. Excellent coffee alongside. Really tasty, excellent service. My daughter ordered a salmon and cream cheese bagel and cappuccino, very well received. Would definitely recommend...
